William Jackson was named the Millsaps College assistant strength and conditioning coach in May 2023. Jackson has already assisted with supervision and implementation of training for the football program. He also works with men's and women's tennis, men's and women's soccer and softball. Jackson helps supervise lifting sessions and works directly with the sports medicine and training staff.

Jackson is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and is Red Cross CPR, First Aid and AED Certified. He also holds a National Strength and Conditioning Association CSCS® certification.

In 2021, Jackson was a strength and conditioning intern at the University of North Georgia, Georgia State University and Christian Heritage School.

At North Georgia he gained knowledge from three certified strength and conditioning coaches by assisting in planning and implementing workouts for the men's and women's golf teams along with the softball and tennis programs. He supervised lifts, corrected forms, regressed and progressed athletes and led warm-ups.

Jackson continued to learn and build his strength and conditioning knowledge under Master Strength and Conditioning Coach John Sick with his team of certified strength and conditioning coaches at Georgia State. He learned specific cues, warm ups and speed drills associated with the football program.

During the summer of 2021, Jackson continued learning at Christian Heritage School in Dalton, Georgia. Jackson, under the guidance of Brent Howard, assisted middle school football players and high school freshmen by implementing a Block Zero program. He was also the school's assistant soccer coach from 2017-18.

Other experience included being a Graduate Assistant of Fitness and Wellness at North Georgia (2021-23), a resident assistant at UNG (2020-21) and an athletic training intern with the Hamilton Health Care System (2016-17).

Jackson earned his Master of Science in Exercise Science from the University of North Georgia in May of 2023 and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from UNG in May of 2021.
