Anna Maliszewska joined the women's soccer staff as a volunteer assistant coach in the summer of 2022, after spending the previous season as the head coach at nearby Florida Memorial.

She led the Lions to a pair of wins, after the team had only won twice the previous four seasons.

Prior to joining the Lions staff, Maliszewska worked with a number of club teams in the South Florida area, including as an assistant coach with Tropical Soccer Club and the head coach at United Stars Soccer Club, leading the boys teams to multiple state championships.

Under her leadership, the United Stars Soccer club won the President Cup State of Florida Champion in 2017 and 2019. The team also won the President Cup State of Florida Champion Regional Championship in 2017; finished as the President Cup State of Florida National third place team in 2017; and was the President Cup State of Florida Regional runner-up in 2019.

She served on staff for the Honduran U23 national team tryouts.

Maliszewska is a former WPSL soccer player with the Miami Surf and South Florida Strikers. She served as captain and received honorable mention while scoring a hat trick in a 4-1 victory over 2011 Sunshine Conference Champion FSA Freedom.

Maliszewska earned her bachelors degree in physical education at Gdansk University in Poland in 2002 as well as her masters degree in Tourism and Recreation Studies for Gdansk in 2004. She also holds her National “F", “E“, “D“, “C“ and "B" US Soccer licenses, as well as working toward a "B" goal keepers license.

Maliszewska was born in Bialogard, Poland, the daughter of war veteran Ryszard Maliszewski and Danuta Trykacz. She lives in Hollywood, Florida with her husband Jorge Calix and son Nicolas.
