Courtney Rocha joined the Blue and Gold in the fall of 2023 as women’s soccer assistant coach. She will serve in a variety of capacities under first-year head coach Emily Reynolds. A graduate of Azusa Pacific with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology, Rocha arrives in Costa Mesa after fulfilling the role of Graduate Assistant Coach for the women’s soccer team at her alma mater.
She also has had several coaching stops at the high school level, most recently with Division I San Clemente High School in the South Coast League. Prior to that, she was a varsity assistant coach at South Hills High School in West Covina, helping lead the team to a 2022 Division II League championship. Rocha then moved to Northview High School in Covina to become the head girls’ varsity coach.
Rocha has been involved in practice planning, skill development and game organization at her various coaching stops. As a player, she competed at Azusa Pacific from 2019-21 and became team captain her senior season. She earned her Master’s degree in Physical Education and in the Teaching Credential program at APU in December of 2022.
