"I'm very excited to join the Vanguard Lions family," said Reynolds. "I wholeheartedly believe in the mission of the athletic department and am ready to get to work maximizing the potential of our women's soccer program."

"We are blessed to welcome Emily Reynolds to the Lions Family," said Athletic Director Jeff Bussell. "Her vision, heart, and experience at the highest level and in the PacWest Conference resonated throughout the process. Emily is a competitor and winner who uses soccer as a space to pursue excellence in all aspects of life while glorifying God and furthering His Kingdom. Our student-athletes will be well equipped to flourish both on and off the field under her direction. We look forward to the future and all that God has planned for our women's soccer program."

Prior to UNLV, Reynolds worked as an assistant coach at Azusa Pacific for four seasons (2017-21) with her alma mater. She was involved in all aspects of the program, covering recruiting, planning training sessions, player developments and alumni engagement.

As a four-year player at Azusa Pacific, Reynolds was the team captain her final two seasons. She led her team to two GSAC regular season and two GSAC tournament titles, and three NAIA National Tournament semifinal appearances, as well as a second place finish in the NCAA Division II PacWest Conference her senior season in 2012. She ranked second on the team in goals scored en route to earning All-Pac West Second Team accolades in 2012.

Reynolds also earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Conference honors, and the NAIA Champion  of Character award during her time at APU.
