Erin Shellene (LAT, ATC) joined the UNE staff for the 2017-18 academic year as an Athletic Trainer. In November 2021, she was promoted to Interim Head Athletic Trainer, and, in May 2022, she was promoted to Head Athletic Trainer.

Shellene spent the previous two years (2015-17) as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Nichols College [NCAA III]. While there, she earned a master's degree in business administration.

The Kennebunkport, Maine native and resident received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Merrimack College in 2015.
