A native of Chicago, Ill., Ernesto Aguinaga joins the Parkside women's soccer team staff as of Feb., 2021. He is currently a student at Northeastern Illinois University, looking to earn a degree in Physical Education by the spring of 2022.

Aguinaga holds a United States Soccer Federation D License and Goalkeeping Level 1 License from United Soccer Coaches. With this, he has accumulated a wide array of coaching experience, starting with his job as the current head coach of the Mather High School Boy's and Girl's varsity soccer programs since 2017. In 2018, the boy's team won a 2A Regional Championship, the program's first in seven years. Ernesto is also the Director of the Windy City Goalkeeper Academy, which works with Chicago-area middle school, high school, and collegiate goalkeepers. He is also the Head Coach and Goalkeeper coach at Leon USA Soccer Club.

Before his coaching career, Aguinaga played one season at Dominican University, and trialed with Club Leon FC's U17 team in Liga MX (Mexican 1st division).
