A 2019 OBU graduate, Jen Goethe enters her fourth season as assistant coach for the Bison.

Her playing days on Bison Hill brought many accomplishments for the Shawnee native. She was a two-time All-GAC First Team selection in 2017 and 2018 and was the league’s Defensive Player of the Year during those seasons as well.

During the 2018 campaign, Goethe helped the Bison post a perfect 12-0 record in Great American Conference play. It was the first instance in GAC history that a team accomplished that. Also in that season, the green and gold qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

By the end of her playing days, she had helped the Bison attain a 51-24-4 record. Also of note, OBU was the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament runner-up in 2016.

Before returning in the spring of 2020, Goethe spent one season at national power Dallas Baptist. During her lone year of coaching there, DBU made it to the “Sweet 16” of the NCAA Tournament.
