Jenna Bracken is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Saint Louis University women's soccer program.

A former All-America goalkeeper at Kutztown University, Bracken arrived at SLU following one season as an assistant coach at Loyola University Maryland. She spent the 2020 (spring 2021) and 2021 campaigns as an assistant coach at Wagner College.

“I am thrilled to welcome Jenna into the SLU Women’s Soccer and Billiken communities,” head coach Katie Shields said upon Bracken's hiring. “Throughout our extensive search, we prioritized finding a servant leader who can help us continue to recruit and mentor champions on and off the field. Jenna’s attention to detail, ability to build relationships and work ethic were impressive throughout the process.

“Jenna will be involved in every facet of the program including recruiting, social media and individual player development,” Shields said. “On the field, she will continue to develop our goalkeeping group into the nation’s best, as well as maximize our collective potential as we climb to new heights in the fall of 2023.”

In addition to her previous two coaching stints, Bracken has worked with several programs to create goalkeeper training programs, including Modern Goalkeeper, Silver Lakes Soccer Academy and Exact Sports.

The Wanaque, New Jersey, native registered school career records of 42 wins and 26 shutouts between the posts at Kutztown University. Her 0.74 career goals against average ranks fourth in school history, and she turned in an .844 career save percentage. As a junior in 2018, Bracken led the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in save percentage (.918) while posting a school-record 0.39 GAA and notching 11 shutouts.

Bracken’s 2018 performance led to her selection to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America third team and the organization’s All-Atlantic Region first team. She also was named the PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year, earned a spot on the All-PSAC first team and garnered United Soccer Coaches second-team All-Atlantic Region plaudits.

Bracken played on three Kutztown teams that reached the NCAA Division II Tournament, including 2016 when the Golden Bears won their first-ever NCAA Atlantic Region title and reached the national semifinals.

Bracken earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in communication design with a concentration in advertising and graphic design.
