Kaitlin Kapitan enters her first year coaching collegiately as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at UW-Whitewater in 2023.  Prior to coaching she played collegiately for UW-Oshkosh (2011-12) & UW-La Crosse (2014-15).  

Kapitan has coached for the Kettle Moraine High School Girls Soccer program from 2018-Present.  She's been the Varsity Head Coach for the past 2 years.  During her tenure, the team has made WIAA State Tournament Appearances in 2018, 2021, & 2023.  In 2023, Kettle Moraine was named Classic 8 Conference Champions for the first time in school history, were Wisconsin Division 1 State Runner-Ups, and ended the season ranked #9 in the Region III United Soccer Coaches Rankings.

In 2021 she was named Assistant Coach of the Year in the Classic 8 Conference.  In 2023 she was named Classic 8 Conference Coach of the Year.

She graduated from UW-La Crosse with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology.  She also earned a Secondary Science Teaching Certificate and Master's Degree from UW-Milwaukee.

Kapitan resides in Oconomowoc with her husband and UW-Whitewater Men's Soccer Alumni, Jonny Fischer.  Together they have a son Brecken (1), a dog Goose, and a cat Maverick.
