Ty Jahnke joined the intercollegiate athletics staff at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in May of 2023.  He currently works as the director of operations for the track & field team and in August of 2023 gained the role of sports performance coach for the men’s and women’s soccer teams, softball team, and golf team.  Jahnke is also completing a Master of Science degree in Applied Kinesiology from UW-Whitewater anticipated to be completed in May of 2024.  

Prior to joining the staff, Jahnke was a student-athlete for the Warhawks where he competed on the track & field team for four years beginning in the fall of 2019.  Jahnke competed in the high jump and was named captain his senior season.  He was named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Sportsmanship team three times in his athletic career and was named the WIAC Scholar Athlete Nominee his senior season in addition to earning the Chancellor Scholar Athlete award from UW-Whitewater.   

In August of 2023, Jahnke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance from UW-Whitewater.  Jahnke also holds numerous professional certifications.  He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Tactical Strength & Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) both from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).  Jahnke is also an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP).
