Former scholar-athlete Kate Holland joined the War Hawks coaching staff in March 2023.

A three-time All-American Southwest Conference defensive selection, she appeared in 72 matches with 70 starts for the Maroon and White during her collegiate competition career. A 2022 United Soccer Coaches Division III West Region Player of Distinction, Holland, who holds the school record for matches played and started, tallied eight goals and dished off three assists towards 19 points in her illustrious playing days which saw the Mansfield, Texas, native compile nearly 6000 minutes on the pitch.

Holland, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in History Teaching for grades 7-12, was a student teacher at Hawley High School. She also served as a personal/private individual soccer coach for several athletes in Abilene while directing local instructional summer camps and refereeing summer league high school matches in the area before joining the War Hawks staff.
