Krista Mau is in her third season with the D'Youville athletic training department and first as the associate athletic trainer, joining the staff in August of 2019 as the athletic department's first full-time assistant athletic trainer. Mau's primary sports are women's soccer, women's basketball, and baseball.

Mau previously spent time as an assistant athletic trainer for Buffalo State from August 2018 to June 2019. At Buffalo State, Mau primarily worked with the women's soccer, men and women's swimming and diving, and the men and women's track and field teams. In addition, Mau was trained and certified to be a preceptor for athletic training students while establishing venue-specific emergency action plans.

Simultaneous with her time at Buffalo State, Mau worked for the Buffalo Seminary and Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart as a per diem athletic trainer. She worked game-day coverage for soccer, field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse.

Prior to being the assistant athletic trainer at Buffalo State, Mau gained clinical experience at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, at Daemen College with the men's basketball program, at the University at Buffalo with the football team, at Niagara University with the women's basketball team, and at Buffalo State with the women's soccer and women's ice hockey teams. At each clinical, Mau helped develop preventative programs for injuries as well as action plans. She also assisted in the day-to-day operations with each team with diet plans, weigh-ins, and attended games and road trips.

Mau is a two-time graduate of Daemen College, earning her bachelor's degree in health care studies in 2017 before receiving her master's degree in athletic training in 2018.

Krista is currently affiliated with the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association, and the New York State Athletic Trainers' Association.
