An accomplished coach with an expertise in goalkeeping, Lyle Howe joined the Millersville soccer programs as an assistant coach prior to the 2023 season. 

A standout goalkeeper at Saint Thomas University, Howe has coached at both the NCAA Division II and Division III levels, most recently serving two seasons with the women's program at Hartwick College. Howe helped the program to back-to-back Empire 8 Conference Tournament appearances. 

Howe's first stop at the collegiate level was working with the women's program at Nyack where he helped the program reach the CACC Tournament. In 2021, he helped the men's program to its first national ranking. 

Additionally, Howe has worked with youth players with the Success Academy and served as a middle school teacher and soccer coach with Uncommon Schools in New York. After graduating from Saint Thomas, Howe spent a year in Berlin, Germany, playing for FC Spandau 06 and TSG Neustrelitz, and coaching youth players. 

As a student-athlete, Howe served as a team captain and was named the defensive player of the year in leading Saint Thomas to a Sun Conference championship. Howe complete a bachelor's degree in communications in 2013. He earned an MBA with a concentration in finance from Nyack in 2017.
