TCU women’s soccer head coach Eric Bell has announced the addition of Madison Kroger prior to the start of the 2023 campaign. She has been hired as the program’s Director of Player Personnel.
Kroger comes to TCU after spending the 2022 season at Idaho where she served as an assistant coach. In her lone season on campus, the Vandals produced a 12-3-3 record and finished second in the Big Sky Conference with a 6-2-0 league record. With her assistance, Idaho tallied 12 shutouts on the year. In addition to earning first-team All-Big Sky accolades, Savannah Foster was named an All-Region performer. Seven other members of the team earned Big Sky honors, including three first-team honorees.
Kroger spent 2021 as a volunteer assistant at Hawaii. While at Hawaii, she worked on scouting reports and film breakdown as well as functional and position training.
She spent the 2020 season as an assistant for NCAA DII Stanislaus State in California where she was the recruiting coordinator and planned and implemented training sessions. Off the field, she helped with academic monitoring, guiding the Warriors to the best GPA in program history.
She began her career as an assistant coach at Central Washington where she earned her master’s degree in Athletic Administration. Kroger was the top assistant working specifically with defenders. She worked on functional training and player development. Off the field, she worked as the recruiting coordinator, camp director and oversaw the team's academic success. She helped the Wildcats return to the GNAC Conference tournament in 2019 after winning just one game as a program in 2017.
She played her college soccer at Queen’s University of Charlotte where she earned her degree. Her playing time was hampered by an injury that limited her career on the field. While at Queens, she also coached at Charlotte Soccer Academy.
She holds a USSF C license and is a member of WeCOACH, an organization dedicated to the recruitment, advancement and retention of women coaches of all sports and levels.
