Martino comes to Iona from the College of Mount Saint Vincent with over 15 years of college, premier and high school coaching experience.

In 2019, Martino and the Eagles finished the season at Fieldston High School in Riverdale, New York, with a semi final appearance in the NYSAIS State Tournament. Prior to Fieldston, Martino was the head coach at Trinity Catholic in Stamford, Connecticut, where he lead the Crusaders to a program record and was named the 2017 FCIAC Coach of the Year.

Martino was a long-time coach in Westchester County, receiving six consecutive Section 1 Coach of the Year Awards, winning four league titles, appearing in three sectional finals, a sectional championship and state semi-final and regional final.

Martino sits as a director for CFC, where over the last decade has assisted dozens of players to achieve the goal of playing at the collegiate level.

Martino is a finance and management consultant and holds a BA & M.Ed from Concordia, where he played soccer, and a MS from the University at Buffalo. Michael resides in Westchester County with his wife Katie, son Michael and daughter Sela.
