Rafael Lopez is entering his second year as a Certified Athletic Trainer, working directly with Sun Devil Soccer.

Prior to ASU, Lopez coached Football at Highland High School, where he was the offensive line coach and assistant offensive coordinator. After that, he attended Eastern Washington University, earning his bachelor's degree in exercise science. At EWU, he was a student aide for two years with the football team.

After graduating from EWU, Lopez attended the University of Utah, earning his master's degree in athletic training. While attending Utah, he worked with the baseball and men's basketball programs. Lopez also assisted the strength coaches with the track and field program.
