Scott joined the Post Womens Soccer program as goalkeeper coach in 2020 and since 2022 has also served as the goalkeeper coach for the Post Men's Soccer program. 

Prior to that, Vanderwall was the assistant coach and goalkeeper coach for the Wilton (Conn.) High School Girl's Soccer program for 8 years.  

He is a former director of goalkeeping for CT Rush, and a former administration director for their southwest branch.  

While always involved in coaching in some capacity, Vanderwall also had a successful 18 year career in corporate banking in the Metro NY region.  He retired from banking in 2012 to pursue full-time coaching opportunities. 

As a player, Scott competed for 2 years as a professional soccer goalkeeper for the New York Fever in the USISL, a semi-pro league in the US prior to the launch of MLS.  He was the goalkeeper for NCAA Division I Hartwick College.  

His coaching career spans over 30 years at the youth, high school and college levels while also holding a USSF B license.   

Currently, Scott lives in Wilton, CT with his wife, Jen, and has two children, Ryan and Casey.
