Serena Fortes enters her first season as the graduate assistant for the women’s soccer team.

Fortes attended the University of Northern Colorado in the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Soccer League (RMCSL). Her leadership as a captain her junior and senior year helped her team qualify for two national tournaments in Austin, Texas. She was later appointed Team President in 2022.

At Skyline High School in Longmont, Colorado, Fortes was a four-time letter winner for the Falcons. She also earned conference honorable mention nods her junior and senior years. Fortes competed in swimming and track & field second sport as well.

Forte’s play solidified a spot on the ODP Colorado Player Pool in 2014-2016. She also played for FC Boulder Elite.

Fortes is pursuing a degree in Sports Administration. She’s the daughter of Milo and Cynthia Fortes and has one brother: Mateo. In her free time, she enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, ukulele, and learning new songs on the guitar.
