Shane Stock joined the University of Nebraska-Kearney Sports Performance staff as director of baseball strength and conditioning in October 2016 where he oversaw all aspects of training and nutrition for the program. The 2022-2023 academic year marks his sixth with Loper Sport Performance.

He was promoted to Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in December 2022 with his new duties starting January 3, 2023. Stock spent five and a half years working under Steve "Sarge" Schulz.

"I'm thrilled that Shane has been promoted to our Head Strength and Conditioning coach position. He places a high value on our student-athletes and will continue to use high-tech training strategies to elevate their overall performance," said UNK Associate Athletic Director Bill Murphy.

In his recent assistant role, he oversaw the development of the men’s and women’s track and field teams, softball, women’s soccer, and women's golf while assisting with football. During his time at UNK, he has been privileged to work with several great student-athletes, where he has helped develop multiple All-Americans across various sport programs.

A former UNK baseball player, he is certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) with the distinction of registered strength and conditioning coach (RSCC).

The Omaha native graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition. He then earned a Master’s in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Administration in July 2020.
