Sophie Grant enters her first year at Sacred Heart University as an Athletic Trainer. Her Primary sport responsibilities are women’s soccer, softball and the throwers for track and field. 

Grant joins SHU athletic training staff after completing her master’s degree and a graduate assistantship at Indiana University. At IU, she covered multiple different sports including high school football, middle school coverage, IU field hockey, and IU cheerleading. While also at IU she completed research looking at state legislation for return to learn in the K-12 setting. She also had to opportunity to work with USA cheerleading. 

Prior to Indiana Grant she completed her undergrad degree at Springfield college. During her four years at Springfield, she gained a variety of experience working with men’s volleyball, high school football, Colligate football, and baseball. 

Originally from North Haven, Connecticut, she is glad to be closer to home again.
