Steven Lopes begins his 10th season as an assistant women's soccer coach at WestConn in 2023.  He brings a wealth of experience, spanning multiple levels of youth soccer. Lopes has been an active coach and BOD contributor for the Danbury Youth Soccer Club for the last 20 years.  During that time he has coached various teams within the club and has also worked to develop the club's recreational programming, academy and off-season high school programs.

Lopes has also worked with area programs such as SCOR, Soccerplus, CJSA ODP, YPDP and A.C. Connecticut, and he is currently working with the high school girls teams at A.C. Connecticut.  In 2007 and 2011, Lopes was named CJSA NWD Girls Coach of the Year.  Lopes holds his USSF National D and E licenses and USSF youth module as well as several other technical and professional development certifications from USSF and the NSCAA.  Lopes resides in Danbury with his wife, Diana, and three children, Caleb, Jacob and Abigail.
