Tony Arnesen joined Oglethorpe in 2023 as a volunteer assistant and stepped in as full-time assistant in 2024.

Prior to Oglethorpe

Arnesen was born and raised in San Diego where he Coached at the ECNL club level with DMCV Sharks for 11 years while also serving as Girl's College Director.

From 2019-2023, Arnesen served as Head Women's Soccer Coach at San Diego City College. In 2021, the program broke multiple records including 1) First State Playoff appearance in program history, 2) Most overall wins in program history, 3) Most conference wins in program history, 4) Best win percentage in program history, 5) Most goals in program history, and 6) Longest winning streak in program history.

Also from 2019-2023, Arnesen served as Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach at San Pasqual High School. In 2022, his team finished as California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) San Diego section champions and State Semi-Finalists.

Education | Personal

Arnesen earned his BA in 2010 from Cal State University, Chico. In 2020, he earned his Masters in Kinesiology from California Baptist University. Arnesen holds a USSF National "C" License, Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma, NFHS Coaching Diploma, and Positive Coaching Alliance Double-Coach Certification.
