Greg Gilmore returns to the Jacks for his fifth year to start the 2023 season.  Gilmore has led the program to four straight playoff appearances since taking over the program in the spring of 2019.

In the 2019 season, Gilmore guided the Jacks to the UMAC playoffs for the first time in its program history after a 3-4-1 finish in conference play and finishing in fourth.  The Jacks narrowly missed out on advancing after taking a 1-0 lead into halftime but ultimately fell to Martin Luther by a score of 3-1.

After his first full year of recruiting, the Jacks improved in the spring of 2021 with a 4-3-1 finish in UMAC play and fell in the playoffs to than nationally ranked UW-Superior in a tight 2-0 contest.  The Jacks once again finished fourth in the UMAC but were able to complete their first-ever UMAC winning record.

During the fall of 2021, the Jacks set numerous NCAA-era program bests, including wins and goals.  The Jacks finished 10-9-1 in the regular season and 8-5-1 in the UMAC, which was good for third place.  The Jacks, however, once again were knocked out in the UMAC semi-finals.

Gilmore was hired as the Men’s Soccer Coach at Northland College in March of 2019.  Gilmore was previously the head coach at his alma mater, Southern Vermont College, from 2016 to 2018.  While at Southern Vermont, Gilmore returned the program to the postseason for the first time in four years and also guided the Mountaineers to their first home playoff game since 2011.

Prior to returning to SVC in 2016, Gilmore was the head coach and director of coaching for Maximum Velocity FC in Lee, N.H. since November of 2014 while also heading the boys’ varsity coach at Farmington High School in Farmington, N.H. since June ‘14. In his stint at Farmington, he led the team to its first playoff victory in 39 years.

He received his Bachelors of Science in History & Politics from SVC in 2012 and earned an MBA in Athletic Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018.

As a player, Gilmore was a four year starter for SVC and currently holds the record for most games started in a career.  Over his four years Gilmore helped transform a winless team in 2007 to a championship contender as his team made it to the New England Collegiate Conference championship game in both 2010 and 2011.

Additionally, Gilmore was a three-year player for the Southern Vermont baseball team, being on the SVC pitching staff that helped the squad go to the NECC postseason in both 2010 and 2011 while falling in the championship round in the latter of those years.
