Assistant men's soccer coach Mike York joined the Seawolves staff in 2019 as another decorated former player. York was a member of the SSU men's soccer program from 1983-1986 and made history by scoring the university's first hat trick and was a top play maker on the team, finishing with 15 goals and 8 assists in his career. York, wanting to give back to his alma mater, started coaching for SSU and passing along his knowledge and experience he accumulated throughout his career.

York has coached many youth camp teams and played professional indoor soccer. York is happily married and has two sons who all live in Sacramento. York continues to contribute to one of the university's most historic and successful programs and positively impact the playing careers of the team's student-athletes.
