Andrew Hudson joined the Yale women’s soccer program as an assistant coach in March 2023.

Hudson came to Yale after spending six years at Florida State University. In his time with the program, the Seminoles won four ACC Championships (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) and three National Championships (2018, 2021, 2023), as well as a NCAA runner-up finish in 2020 and finalists in 2022. 

In 2023, the Seminoles finished with an undefeated record, the first in program history, as well as a program record five All-Americans, seven All-ACC honorees, the ACC Offensive Player of the Year, the ACC Freshman of the Year, two MAC Hermann Semifinalists, one MAC Hermann Winner and a Honda Sports Award Winner. Those accolades led the Seminoles staff to being named the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Staff of the Year. 

Hudson’s role with the Seminoles primarily focused on team attacking and player technical development, as well as video analysis and opposition scouting. In 2022, the Seminoles scored 64 goals, which ranks sixth all-time in school history. The Seminoles followed that up with 66 goals in 2023 en route to their third national title which ranked fourth in school history. 

Hudson earned his degree in public relations and rhetorical advocacy from Purdue University in 2011. He went on to earn a graduate degree in media and communication from Florida State in 2013.
