Cameron Chacon joined MSU Denver as the women's soccer program's goalkeepers coach in December, 2020.

Under his direction in 2021, true freshman goalkeeper Kayla Caballero earned All-RMAC second team honors after going 8-6-2 with five shutouts and a .774 save percentage. Her backup, true freshman Kylie Bach, was unscored upon in 273 minutes of action in five games, and Diyonus Walls played 45 scoreless minutes as well. The Roadrunners' 0.65 goals-against average was the program's best since 2021 and the 10th-best in program history.

In Chacon's first season, when the 2020 season was played in the spring of 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chacon made adjustments as needed, with defender Dani Nelson and women's basketball player Maggie Justinak pressed into service for one game each.

Chacon had most recently served in the same position with the Broomfield Blast club program as well as at Erie High School, working with both the boys and girls teams.

He has also worked with goalkeepers as part of the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club, Challenger Sports and the United Youth Soccer Club of Loveland.

A 2019 graduate of Colorado State University, Chacon played one season at Northeastern State (Okla.) before playing several semi-professional seasons for FC Denver.

At Standley Lake High School, he played 21 career games while compiling a 1.00 goals against average, including an 0.71 GAA in 11 games as a senior in 2012, helping the Gators to a 9-5-2 overall record.
