Ryan Gearhart joined the MSU Denver women's soccer program as a volunteer assistant in the fall of 2022.

Gearhart has been a coach in the Real Colorado soccer organization since 2018, including the head coach for the 2004 & 2005 Olympico Classico and the 2007 White. He has also been a girls varsity assistant coach and junior varsity assistant coach at Regis Jesuit High School since 2011. From 2016 to 2018, he was the head coach of the Colorado Storm Girls Select team. Prior to that, also with Colorado Storm, he was the head coach of the Girls Elite U-17 in 2015, the Girls Blue from 2013-15, and the Girls Yellow U-14s in 2012. From 2006-09, he was the head coach at Arvada West High School, twice taking the team to the Class 5A state tournament. Prior to that, he was a varsity assistant and junior varsity head coach at Mullen High School from 2002-06 (as well as 2010), helping that team to two trips to the Class 4A semifinals as well as a berth in the Class 5A finals.

A 1999 graduate of Ponderosa High School, Gearhart earned college degrees at both Grace (Neb.) and Denver University.
