Makenna Brassard returned to MSU Denver as an assistant coach in Feburary, 2023.

Brassard is a former Roadrunners defender who was All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honorable mention in both 2017 and 2018 while playing for the team from 2015 through 2019. Brassard played 67 games for MSU Denver for a total of 4,419 minutes and scored three career goals, two of which were game-winners. She was a Roadrunners captain in 2017 and 2018, and she was also a strength and conditioning intern at MSU Denver in the spring of 2020.

As a senior at Horizon High School, Brassard scored six goals.

Brassard has coached in the Olympic Development Program as an assistant since 2020, while also running her own private coaching business. Since 2021 she has been the head coach for Colorado Rapids North.

Brassard graduated from MSU Denver with a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2020.
