Cory Bell was named Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance in February 2023 and begins his first season with the Greyhounds.

Before joining the Greyhounds, Bell spent eight months as the West Orange-Stark High School strength and conditioning coach, where he oversaw all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for all high school and middle school sports in the West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District (WOCCISD).

Bell is no stranger to New Mexico, spending a season with New Mexico Military Institute as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. While in Roswell, Bell worked with baseball, cross country, and tactical groups on campus, and helped assist with the football, volleyball, and basketball programs. Bell was also in charge of the Godfrey Athletic Center. While in Roswell, Bell worked with the 2021 NJCAA volleyball national runner-up, 2021 football SWJCFC conference champions, and the 2021 NJCAA DI football national champions.

Prior to joining NMMI, Bell worked at Boston College serving as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Eagles football program. While at Chestnut Hill, Bell was the director of the intern program, helped implement performance monitoring system, and assisted with long term return to play athletes.

Bell had their start in college athletics at The Ohio State University as the lead strength and conditioning intern. After serving in this position for seven months, Bell became a student-assistant strength and conditioning coach, working with several different programs for the Buckeyes - men's soccer, women's volleyball, field hockey, track and field, women's gymnastics, swimming and diving, fencing, and rowing. Bell continued his career at OSU as a strength and conditioning associate, designing and implementing strength programs for the sprints, jumps, and fencing team. Bell worked with several championship teams at OSU including the 2017 Big Ten football champions, 2017 Cotton Bowl champions, 2019, Women's Track & Field Indoor and Outdoor Big Ten champions, and 2019 Midwest Fencing conference champions.

In addition to his field experience, Bell has received certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa). Bell has worked directly with strength programming for Olympians Anavia Battle (USA) and Eric Harrison Jr. (Trinidad and Tobago).

Bell received a bachelor of science in education from The Ohio State University in May 2019, and has worked toward a master of science in sports administration at Boston College.

Bell is joined at ENMU by his wife and daughter.
