Dave Robinson begins his 18th season on the men’s soccer staff and 10th year with the women’s team in 2022. Coach Robinson was born in Liverpool, England where he had the pleasure of watching the dominating Reds collect numerous European Cups throughout his formative days on Merseyside.  While in England, he played for and graduated from the Royal Air Force with a degree in Electronics and Communications.

Robinson has coached with the Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club for the past 24 years where he has helped to develop numerous young Duluth soccer players. He also led the Cloquet Girls High School team to two State tournaments in three years following their back-to-back Section 7A championship seasons. Coach Chastey adds, "His love and understanding of the game has made Dave one of the best coaches in the area. I am very excited to have him on our staff."

Coach Robinson continues to work on the development of soccer for both players and coaches within Minnesota.  He is a member of the ODP player identification staff and an instructor for the coaches National Youth License.  Locally he is on the AYSA, and the Denfeld Soccer boards.

Coach Robinson lives in Duluth with his wife Kim. They have two sons Andrew and Alex.
