Martin Maguire comes to Montevallo after spending time as the ECNL Girls Director and Head Coach for Arsenal FC in Ontario, California.  While with Arsenal FC, Maguire held responsibilities that included creating plans for coaching curriculum, recruiting coaches, creating budgets, building training schedules, and creating a game day plan for teams and coaches.

Maguire spent 20 years with the Pateadores Soccer Club in various communities around California such as Redlands, Irvine, and Costa Mesa.  With Pateadores, Maguire held roles that included Assistant Coach, Head Coach, Head Development Academy Coach, and Area Director.  Some of his responsibilities with Pateadores included building club budgets, recruiting coaches for the teams, and building a curriculum to teach the four pillars of the game.  He also helped oversee the coaching and game day equipment, communicate with board and managers to keep the club working together, and built team training schedules.

Maguire spent seven years as a PE Teacher at Sacred Heart School in Palm Desert, California.  At Sacred Heart he was tasked with duties such as the upkeep of school equipment, gyms and fields, teaching students about concepts regarding fitness, health and well-being. adhering to applicable fitness program standards and benchmarks, monitoring student physical fitness with standardized assessments and devised appropriate individual goals, meeting with parents  to discuss student progress and areas for improvement, and adapting teaching methods and instructional strategies to promote learning in students of differing skill levels.

Maguire earned a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in International Marketing from the University of Sussex in Brighton, United Kingdom.
