Former Ranger standout and Landmark Conference championship hero Melanie Santos enters her first season as an assistant women's soccer coach in 2023.

Santos was a four-year starter in the midfield and a two-time All-Landmark Conference recipient under current Head Coach Christa Racine from 2012-15. During her sophomore campaign, Santos posted career-highs in goals (five), assists (two), and points (12) while helping to lead the Rangers to a 15-4-1 record. In one of the top moments in team history, she booted in the fourth and final goal in penalty kicks versus Scranton in the 2013 Landmark Conference final, clinching the program's first Landmark title.

For her career, Santos played in 74 games and started every match over her last three seasons, finishing with 16 goals, four assists, and 36 points. In addition to helping the Rangers to their 2013 Landmark Conference title, she also helped the squad reach the Landmark playoffs in both 2012 and 2014. She captured a spot on the All-Landmark Second Team in each of her last two seasons.
